I am thinking of changing the listing to include shipping for $20. Is that a problem for you?

someone else bid thinking I was doing shipping (see their comments on auction site) this is my reply to them. I am sorry I ever listed it because it is worth a lot.
"I did not have shipping as a condition of my auction, as I do not like to ship. If I wanted to do shipping, I would have listed it on ebay. It is worth a lot of money. Since I can't edit my auction, what do you propose I do that is fair to all bidders? I do have someone else who wants to bid if I will ship."

Well, yes it is a problem for a couple of reasons. After a bid has been placed you can't edit your auction. A nice size flat rate priority box is only 11.00 (and comes with free confirmation), and you cannot charge for more than shipping actually costs. It's only an 8 inch vase, so that should not be a problem. I do not think I would have bid on something I would have had to pick up in Washington since I live in St. Louis. Didn't you have it down as free shipping to start?

Actually, you could put it in a medium size free priority box from the post office and the shipping should be around $6-7. I do a LOT of shipping and I know $20 is an outrageous amount to ask.

can i change my auction to say shipping paid by winner for medium flat rate USPS box? You said I couldn't edit and I want to be fair to all bidders.

Please bear with me I am new to Listia and this is my first auction.

I did sound a little hard on you. I too am new, but I did thouroughly read the rules. If I missed that you put pick up only, then I was crazy to bid!!!

You probably should talk to a moderator about what to do. If you go to the main page and scroll all the way to the bottom, there are lots of links to click on. You'll be able to find the one to "ask a question." I have used it already and they were very fast at getting back to me and answered my question very well. I'm sure they will help you resolve this. Also, I would be glad to pay shipping if I won your auction. :o) By the end of my first week I was whirling around, but now I'm doing better. It is a fun place to be, so I hope you can get it fixed to your satisfaction. JP

If you are willing to ship via medium size top priority as you state above, I would like to bid. If not, please let me know right away. I am in Texas and that would be a long trip to pick it up.
