Description

The listing, Calling all flower lovers! The mother load of perennials for you! 3 day auction! has ended.

Here goes! I've got the most beautiful gardens, but every spring I end up splitting and splitting and giving away flowers, so as I'm wandering around my gardens today I have realized that I've got less and less space for annuals as my perennials are taking over! I notice I've even got iris's and daffodils deciding to hit the outside of my borders and grow in my lawn! So now I offer this amazing auction for everyone to get in on!

On to the good stuff! Here's what you will get! I have frilly cream daffodils, bright yellow daffodils, the deepest, darkest shade of purple iris's (I've won grand champion on them for several years), they're just gorgeous, I have day lilies, asiatic lilies, tiger lilies, tulips, gladiolus, and perhaps a hosta or two. Now, some of these are done for the growing season, and others are a month or so away from blooming, so you can enjoy flowers this summer, and even more next summer! All will be drop dead gorgeous, I get people who come out to my home just to walk around my gardens, so you won't be disappointed one bit!

You are guaranteed a small flat rate box stuffed full. If I can stuff full a larger box and pay by weight and get by for the small flat rate price or less, I'll go that route so you get more! It is possible that I may be able to go that direction if I shake the dirt off the bulbs real well. Again, I won't be going stingy, I have tons to give away!

Thanks for stopping by and happy bidding!!

Are they reblooming iris by any chance?

Half of my iris's are reblooming. Unfortunately they are mixed together in a patch about 35 square feet. They started seperated, but have multiplied and mixed. I do believe I can distinguish which are which to some extent from where they are located.

Sure thing and thanks! I believe this is the last of my garden thinning! I've got a big box of these going out, as well as this one, and I think I'll have my gardens back in order after these!

My mom passed years ago...and afterward, Dad kind of let the house go....including the lovely garden that Mom worked so hard on and was so passionate about. In the last couple of years, we had to have Dad move in with us and re-home, recycle, and/or discard 40 years worth of "crap" (every piece of which held wonderful memories).

I had no problem with purging most of it....and took only those things I was fondest of...or which held that special spot in my heart.

But now here I am, and mom's china gets taken out every couple of years on special occasions. But I look out over my yard EVERYDAY....and wish, more than anything, that I had thought about digging up some of my Mom's bulbs. Her irises too....were so stunning and beautiful and they brought her such great joy ---year in and year out.

I hope that once this auction ends, and you might have others available....that you will continue to offer them up....

I found this auction late....but I hope everyone bids often and bids high.....AND I STILL HOPE I WIN....LOL

I just wanted to make sure that everyone who visits, realizes what's being offered.....and appreciates it!!!

This is TRULY my very most favorite Listia auction EVER!

Thank You!!!

=) How heartwarming! I love your post and thank you so much for it! Ironically enough, many of these plants first started from my own grandmother's garden, as well as my mothers. I love seeing the flowers and knowing they came from some place special.

Actually, if you look in the very upper right hand corner of the daffodil picture, you can see a bench.. My grandfather made it for my grandmother and they had it in their garden. Now it is in my garden in front of my home, front and center. I like to sit on that bench and think of them. =)

A gal after my own heart....so happy to have found you! Mom had quite the green thumb...indoors and out....but when she left us, Dad and I pretty much let all of her houseplants and garden die off. I was young (25) and wrote it off to having a "black thumb". But here I am (again), much older and wiser.....LOL....and having met my husband (an avid veggie gardener) and he has taught me the true beauty of all things growing. We tend the yard in the spring and summer....and bring as much as we can indoors for the winter....

But as I said, it really goes a little deeper.....and what you are willing to share can truly be a wonderful legacy for many generations.

I think a lot of the members here are young....either teens looking for makeup....or young moms looking to make ends meet.

I hope they both realize that these beautiful flowers do "multiply", are not hard to tend to, and can be shared often. And as you and I both know...they can be a connection you will be able have EVERYDAY.....

I am hoping that I win...and that years and years from now.....especially after telling my teenage daughter this story (of a chance encounter online)....that she will be smiling on your irises.....ROFL

If I post another of these I will have to put effort into finding photo's of all my gardens. The daffodil garden is a 60 foot square garden in itself. It is a solid blanket of daffodils for about 2 weeks straight.
