Description

The listing, Awesome Pencil Cactus plant starts FREE SHIPPING has ended.

This is a super-easy to grow cactus that decorates itself in the fall with red "Christmas tree balls", (you see some in the photos), so it looks like a real Christmas cactus! It's hardy here in Central Texas, and adds a welcome spot of color to the yard, for months. These photos were taken this week, and you can see some of the red decorations have stayed on it, all the way to summer. I'll mail the winner three "fingers" off the cactus in the photos, so you can start your very own gorgeous plants, and I'll even pay the postage (contiguous USA only).

If you win, it's yours, but you must e-mail me your Listia-verified mailing address within 7 days of auction ending, or I keep your points and you forfeit the goodies. No buyers' remorse, and all Listia rules apply.

If there is a problem PLEASE contact me about it, and I'll do my best to make it right.

If you win and decide you don't want it, please let me know, so I can re-list it.

THANKS FOR LOOKING,
GOOD LUCK, and
HAPPY BIDDING!!!

Great question, thanks for asking! I believe this is officially Cylindropuntia leptocaulis. We had temps in the teens and were iced in for a few days this past winter here, and it didn't seem to bother the plant, at all. There's a lot of info at the following links about it--probably waaay more info there than you want to know!

Great question, thank you for asking! I don't know if it's officially hardy in zone 6, so you might want to move it inside there for the winter, just to be sure. Last winter we had temps in the low teens here, plus were iced in once, and then were snowed in for a few days, and it didn't seem to bother this plant.

There's a lot of info at the following links about it, if you want to check them out.
