Kaitlyn_2002 - Not to argueabout the coins origin because it may have come from Japan but that does not make it Japanese. The coin is actually from Libya and if it says 190- something that looks like a backward 7 then it is actual from 1952. The number written on here are Arabic and you can google Arabic Numbers to see what I am talking about the symbol for zero is a dot '.' It is indeed a 5 milliemes which is the denomination in Egypt which is probably why oidar7295 thinks it is from there. Japan uses Yen or for the older stuff Sen. Check out this link and it should be a picture of you coin. http://worldcoingallery.com/countries/display_wd.php?dir=img&image=109-3&desc=Libya km3 5 Milliemes (1952)&query=Libya. It had a mintage of 7,680,000 which for a coin is not very many
Regardless, this is a very nice condition coin. I had to check to see if I had one in my collection and I don't so I will be watching. You will probably notice it spike in credits at the end. Most collectors wait to the end for some reason. Best of luck
Thank you very much I was worried that I had it wrong I got it from a family member and I don't know anything about old coins thank you so much again :)
Another quick question, the title says "Two" but you show only one, is there a second one that is not shown in the picture? If this is the case would it be possible to see both coins in a picture (front and back). In the Coin World condition isn't necessarily everything but it does play a part in determining value. Sort of like the 4 "C"s of a diamond. Thanks
