Description

The listing, 2 self-improvement books has ended.

(1) "That's Outside My Boat: Letting Go of What You Can't Control" Charlie Jones & Kim Doren (2001) 200 pages. Like new hardback. When Charlie Jones covered rowing, canoeing, and kayaking for Olympic broadcasts, he discovered a powerful philosophy for focused living: He learned that Olympic rowers never let anything outside their boat prevent them from achieving their goals. Jones, with coauthor Kim Doren, realized that all aspects of life could benefit when this perspective is applied. The book uses the power of the personal example to show how focusing on what one decides is important fosters success.
(2) "The Language of Letting Go" by Melodie Beattie. Like new trade paperback (1990) 393 pages. Focusing on self-esteem and acceptance, and written in the direct unsentimental style of Beattie's bestsellers, these daily meditations give voice to the thoughts and feelings common to men and women in recovery. They encourage reflecton on problem-solving, self-awareness, sexuality, intimacy, attachment, acceptance, relationships, and more.

Listia keeps telling me I haven't answered your comment. SO: My husband really liked "Outside My Boat." It won't change your life but it has some excellent thoughts. I think almost everyone could benefit from "The Language of Letting Go."
