I think this fantastic vintage-inspired ring is simply gorgeous and I hope you will, too.

This tag on this ring says it's a Size 8, but it comes up a Size 7.5 on my sizer, so that's what I'm going with. It's set in a simply breathtaking .925 silver (stamped) mounting.

The main stone is a whopping 12 mm x 16 mm, an incredible 14.25 Carat equivalent,(!!!) emerald-cut deep purple amethyst Cubic Zirconia. Keeping it company are a pair of inverted pear-shaped amethyst purple CZs, 3 mm x 5 mm, one on each side. On either side of these along the sides of the main stone are four 2 mm clear CZs, two on each side of each pear-shaped stone, for a total of eight.

But the setting .... it has a clean, crisp, architectural quality to it, with LOTS of openwork in straight geometric lines. Light absolutely floods the great stone, bringing it to life. The way the band separates to meet the stones is beautiful, but the way it holds the pear-shaped stones is noteworthy -- the level of detail and workmanship on this ring is rarely seen on a piece of fashion jewelry. For a ring this size, it's fairly low-profile, too, only 8 mm at its tallest.
