Actually, it's for use before you try to tan. Using instant tanning products or tanning naturally in the sun works better and you keep your tan longer if your skin is well exfoliated beforehand to remove the dead cells first. This product grows naturally from a loofa plant and provides great exfoliation. I hope that helps. Thanks for looking.
