Questions & Comments
Im pretty sure these are Marboux by Marcel Boucher. Some were signed and some not. Very Nice!
thank you for the info.went and looked his stuff up.loved the enamel work and he did do left/right earrings.not too many did and it's always a sign of quality signed or not.
Actually they are. The Marboux line were for items that did not have rhinestones etc. Marcel and Sandra were way ahead of their time in style and your earrings are from the late 40's also available in gold tone. The matching necklace was so over the top you wouldn't believe it - True Boucher
Thank you so much for the info.i'm not a jewelry person but i can spot quality when i see it,marked or not.i was rather surprised that there's not too much inter in the dauplaise earrings since the designer worked under miriam haskell before starting her own line.just goes to show you never know what's hiding at the bottom of that junk drawer:)
True! I sold the matching necklace to these earrings here on listia probably a year ago, it was way over the top, especially for the 40's. If I would have had the earrings then I would never have sold it!
it must have been before i became a member because i would have recognized the pattern.like i said the earring's have been at the bottom of this giant drawer of jewelry that i've had for years, thanks for your valuable input.
