Description
The listing, 100 year old Silver Coptic Cross 1 of 2 has ended.
These crosses are very heavy for their size, so I doubt that they are pure silver as I had thought once upon a time, but they are very nice and have some intricate detail to them. I even tried to bend one, and it didn't even flex. There is no metal stamp on them either. Plus, the only reason I say they are 100 years old is because they were bought at an antiques shoppe long ago, so I can't tell you any more than what we were told. I can't even give you a history lecture..I feel like such a failure on this auction.
Questions & Comments
Is this auction for both crosses? how big is it i have a cross wall and it will be perfect for it
This is for one of the crosses. The pics above are the front and back. The other cross is listed seperately. This one measures 3.25 inches in length by 2.25 inches ac-cross and about the thickness of a United States Quarter.
OMG! I like this cross and really, really want to thankyou for the oppurtuniy to have it! The drama that goes with it is exciting too! Have a blessed day! Thanks!
Well, that makes me mad. I was bidding on that other cross. I am glad you're back though. Seems like they like to pick on you. Are you going to re-list the other cross now? Let me know.
Aww, Listia said they were sorry and gave me a free Premium and Bold listing to relist the other cross. OK, I'm back, lol. Sorry for the anger ladies and gentlemen.
Unreal.....you give more info than everyone else combined!!! I am still new here and have already found out about the scammers....still waiting on over 4000 credits from 1st auction I bid on and won and now the person is "out of the country"....LOL! Sp sorry to see you go...just love your items!
I and four other users flagged two scammers a week ago, and they're still listing. Is Listia getting kickbacks from them or what? Then there's a guy listing Dr. Pepper game codes, but want's $10.00 to email them. He's still listing after over a week.
Listia, in there retarded wisdom, deleted it for "not enough information". The last thing any of my auctions are, are "not enough information". So, I told them to delete the other eight auctions, and I will list on eBay. they keep the scammer auctions up, and bottle caps with $10.00 shipping though. Sorry everyone, I'm done.
Wonderful Antique Russian cross you have there...and you say you have two? AWESOME! I have a friend that collects cross. I forwarded him a picture of yours and he said it looks late 18th to early 19th century. You are right about the metal makeup as it is about 90% pure or as most newer vintage Russina stamps would say (94)... Good luck and I am watching for him...lol.
Be sure to let us know how the Uranium works, you are the first Listian to be such a creative thinker=o} Guess i have to fan U so I can see what happens next!
That's how I clean all my coins. I take them to work and dip them in the depleted Uranium waste tanks. It makes them shiny, then I let my horse pee on it for a few days and it gives it a nice patina.
I still don't know what these are. A Listier commented on the other one that its a silver/nickel compound 60% silver 40% nickel, so they are being listed as mystery meat. I don't guarantee the amount of silver. So don't bid high thinking these are pure silver. I have no clue what these are other than old. If anyone would like, I can take them to the Nuclear facility with me tomorrow and dip them in wasted Uranium, just let me know.
