It was made by Boulder Colorado Artist Mary Moore. Mary H Moore is an Artist in Boulder, CO. She has been drawing and painting since she was in the womb. Originally from Wichita, KS now she shows her work in Longmont, Niwot, Louisville, Boulder, Aurora, Thornton, Evans, Brighton and Denver.
She was diagnosed with MS in 2010 and now primarily works with oil paints, watercolor, pen and ink illustrations, and digital and film photography.
Tree of Fire was made while Mary was in Warner House receiving Mental Health Care. Few people know but Mary has been diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia since the age of 19. She is on Medication and handle the disease with grace and poise. While in treatment Mary often painted too aid in her recovery. She sought treatment after a long battle with her demons, and she won.
Tree of Fire symbolizes the burning feeling inside that wants to escape us all sometimes, but can't get out. When we finally let that feeling out, we are free.
