Wikipedia says: White clover grows among turfgrass, crops, and in a large number of other landscapes. It is also found in a limited range of different field type environments. White clover can tolerate close mowing, and can grow on many different types and pHs of soil, but prefers clay. It is considered to be a beneficial component of natural or organic lawn care due to its ability to fix nitrogen and out-compete lawn weeds. Natural nitrogen fixing reduces leaching from the soil and can reduce the incidence of some lawn diseases that are enhanced by the availability of synthetic fertilizer.
You will find White clover with four leaves. Lucky.
Besides making an excellent forage crop for livestock, clovers are a valuable survival food: they are high in proteins, widespread, and abundant. The fresh plants have been used for centuries as additives to salads and other meals consisting of leafy vegetables.
They are not easy for humans to digest raw, however, but this is easily fixed by boiling the harvested plants for 5–10 minutes Dried flowerheads and seedpods can also be ground up into a nutritious flour and mixed with other foods, or can be steeped into an herbal tea. White clover flour is sometimes sprinkled onto cooked foods such as boiled rice.
When used in soups, the leaves are often harvested before the plant produces flowers. The roots are also edible, although they are most often cooked firsthand.
One of the BEST bee feeding, plants you can add, and they fix nitrogen to feed your lawn ! Why not add some to your lawns or orchard areas? This is also an easy to grow plant that can feed your animals and yourselves! If we don't save the bees and they die, we have 4 years before we die !!! Please plant some !

This is why I let mine just grow and grow and take over as much yard as it wants because of the bees ...., this has been THE worst year for bees here in central Oklahoma , I usually hsve plenty but this year we hsve literally only seen less than 10 honeybees :( it's scary and sad especially since it is preventable by stopping using poisons to kill the "weeds" which in my opinion
There are NO such thing , they're all plants and the "weeds" flower even tiny flowers that the honeybees need to eat from and you're so right. We let the bees all die and WE won't hsve much longer to live.... WhSt it means is nothing gets pollinated so the animals we eat to live, they die because they hsve nothing to eat and the crops we eat of veggies and fruits and grains etc they die off too ..... It's a vicious cycle that once started will take EVERYONE taking part to stop it and reverse it hopefully
