Neither. Most hand crafted jewelry is NOT marked. It's a common misconception. Especially when an artisan buys chain in bulk. As for the cross it's vintage, and again most vintage is not marked. American's are funny about their markings...I have a .925 punch I could place on anything and sell as sterling...kind of defeats the purpose.

Really? I do a lot of Vintage but this one I couldn't peg because the silver is so damn shiny. I have a matching brushed sterling silver locket I'm listing today that is just as shiny. Neither of them are marked however, they've been appraised. I received them as a gift 3 yrs ago from the nastiest of all monster-in-laws..
