Questions & Comments
Hi and welcome to Listia! I noticed you were wondering about the GIN option. I just wanted to let you know that you will not be able to use the GIN (Get It Now) option until you have earned your Sellers' Wings badge. GIN costs an extra 50 credits to use (charged to the seller at the time of listing) and Listia takes 10% of the GIN price (determined by you) only if used by a buyer, but allows a buyer to get the item right now rather than waiting to bid it out and potentially lose the item. You can also add GIN bonuses (extra incentive items for using GIN). To earn the wings badge you need to have received 5 positive feedback ratings, given 5 feedback ratings, listed at least 5 auctions and been a member for 20 days. Hope this helps. Feel free to email me if you ever have any questions or need any help. I wish you the best of luck with this and all future auctions. :-)
Honestly I have no idea the weight of it will be pretty heave and I don't think it will fit in a flat rate box. my mom shipped me some items for my daughter and it was about $3o but I think this will be a little more. Im not sure how to find out
I picked up a nice scale from a thrift store, that helps! Also I use USPS online and it is cheaper than going to the post office. USPS gives discounts on everything. Another way to weigh everything is to weigh yourself on a scale then weigh yourself with the clothes in hand.
Also since your listing does not specify how many shirts or pants in this auction. You could do say 5 shirts & 3 pairs of pants. Then anything left create another auction. It's a thought Hon!
I agree in breaking this into several auctions. I've been a Listian for a very long time.. and high shipping costs deter bidders as is the case with high starting bids. Most multi-item lots go for very high bids so I'd not concern myself with a starting bid, most often that sends people away. Hang in there it won't be long til you're an old pro at this and your first auction will be nothing but a happy memory chocked up to experience gained and lessons learned. Best of luck!!
Here's a great tip and it WORKS! I can't believe what I can stuff into flat rate boxes now. Fold only once and roll tightly; you will be amazed! I'm doing this now with my clothing that goes into drawers here at home. Hope this helps! Also, look into regional flat rate boxes; they really cut the cost if the region is right you're shipping to. God bless you and your loved ones
