Description
The listing, Spaghetti Squash Seeds - Organicly Grown has ended.
Seeds I am literally saving now for next year's planting. This is a mildly flavored, delicious squash compared to anything I've ever purchased in the store or had from home gardens. It's very light green and has flourished in the rainy spring/summer we've had in Colorado this year. Have 7-15 squash on each of my plants. I got my seeds from a neighbor last year who has been growing these for years with great success. There are many great recipes you can try. Use in lieu of pasta or serve like a vegetable. I'll send you 10 seeds, or more if you ask nicely....let's say 20. If you pickup locally you can try one for free, too. Yum!!
Questions & Comments
I will save plenty and also plenty of pumpkin seeds, so if you like to swap, send me a message. I'm looking for cucumber, pepper, tomato and spinach seeds for next year. Have been bidding on Ghost Pepper seeds but keep getting outbid.
Re: the cross pollination question. I'm no expert on the matter by any means. But, I don't grow any other squashes in my garden. While I suppose it's remotely possible that someone else's squashes in the neighborhood cross pollinate with mine I think it's pretty unlikely given the distance. There are pumpkins that will cross pollinate with Spaghetti squash but not the Giant Pumpkins I'm growing this year. See: http://www.walterreeves.com/food-gardening/squashpumpkincucumberwatermelon-pollination-explanation/ My pumpkins and squashes are in different "groups" and so I don't expect cross pollination to be a problem.
