The listing, Tiny art pottery bowl, hand painted, signed has ended.

One of a kind art pottery bowl--hand painted and signed. Could be decorative, but is also food safe and can be washed in the dishwasher, so you could use it as a soy dish or prep dish.

It's about 1.5 inches high and about 3 inches in diameter. The last two photos show the bowl with some U.S. quarters and with a regular sized coffee mug (quarters and mug not included).

U.S. only; free shipping. I time my auctions to end so that I can mail items within 2 business days, but I need to have your address to do that, so make sure you've entered your shipping address into Listia's new system!

So is this painted or glazed? it's super cute:)

It's hand painted with underglazes, then dipped in a clear glaze, and then fired. The clear glaze brings out the colors of the underglazes and seals the piece up to make it watertight and food safe. (It's the same thing that would happen if you went to a paint-it-yourself pottery place: you'd paint a piece of bisque with underglaze paints, and then they'd dip your piece in the clear glaze and fire it for you.)

Thank you! I'll list more of my smaller items for sure, because I cannot resist painting these tiny bowls faster than I can sell them at the studio. I'll probably also occasionally list some mugs or bowls, but those cost a lot to ship so I don't put them on Listia as often.
