Description

The listing, WW2/WWII German Military SS Visor Cap Bird has ended.

Up for bid is a really nice WWII German SS visor bird. Nothing looks to be broken or bent. There are two markings on the reverse side but I cant make them out. One of the markings looks to be the number 40. I have had mixed opinions from other collectors as to its authenticity. Some say yes its original and others say its not. I have tried to take some good close ups of the bird for you to view and judge yourself. SS items are becoming very hard to find and are very collectible!!! Any questions please feel free to ask! As always FREE SHIPPING in the U.S.A. I do not condone or support what the Nazis did but its part of history and needs to be remembered. No rude comments please...if things like this offend you than you should not be searching for it in the first place so please just leave my auction quietly. Thank you all so very much and happy bidding!!!!! Adam

Mr Robinson is correct, this is a reproduction. The Nazis were meticulous record keepers. If authentic there would be RZM numbers on back & M1/48 (example), M designated pins. I have a Hitler youth badge holder pin numbered 25 & the hat pin I have is 48-that number is on the back top left inside wing. In the same spot on the right wing there's a small circle with M & under that 48. The material looks incorrect & there should be a third Barb on the back of the swastika holding wreath.
Check out militaryitems.com
There you can find RZM numbers. M7 designated blades, the numbered designated the makers name & location.
Hope this helps answer some questions & good luck with your auction. It's a beautiful pin.

I'm pretty sure Nazi medals are either gold or silver and not brass which this looks like it's made of. Still cool though and Nazi stuff isn't that hard to find, all it takes is a Google search and the willingness to pay pounds and euros for it. Also, knowing how to read and write German helps since most sites selling Nazi memorabilia are in Germany.

No they were not always gold or silver....most of them were not. Also its not a medal. Please read the listing. Im listing it as is. I am not sure if its original. Also most sites are NOT in Germany....Thanks! Adam
