6 Gram Jar of Pearl Ex Pigment Powder - Salmon Pink #642

An bright pink shade with an orange undertone.

Pearl Ex Powdered Pigments are an extremely versatile product! Used by Artists, Painters, Polymer Clay, Ceramic, Rubber Stampers, Scrapbookers, Embossers, Encaustic Wax, Resin, Paper Arts, Jewelry, Steampunk, and to create faux finishes on all types of surfaces.

They can be mixed into any media and applied to any surface! And the variety of finishes Pearl Ex can produce is nearly endless—from metallic sheens to pearlescent shimmers to all manner of faux finishes.

Mix Into: Pearl Ex Varnish, Oil, Acrylic, Gouache, Varnish, Clay, Melted wax, Clear or Glitter Glue, Almost any medium!

Apply to: Clay, Embossed Stamped Images, Wax Embellishments, Glass, Metal, Wood, Paper, Fabric, Resin, Almost anything!

Pearl Ex creates a metallic look without being a metal. The particles are flat platelets with two surfaces, therefore it lays down beautifully like a thin coating of metal. The different particle sizes produce different looks — from a fine, smooth, pearly luster to a highly metallic sheen.

It is a safe, non-toxic, inert powdered pigment with a neutral pH. It is extremely color fast and stable — it will not tarnish or fade and is therefore ideal for archival applications.

Pearl Ex pigments are 100% pure pigment particles and are generally safe and nontoxic, however, they are intended by the mfr to be used as a craft/hobby grade mica and are not cosmetic grade, however, many people do use them in acrylic nail art, etc. as they mix well with enamel and acrylic products.

Hello there I forget how to make this into an embossing powder that I could use with the heat tool can you please be so kind as to remind me?

Hello!

Certainly, Pearl Ex pigments are used to color clear embossing powder. While there are no exact recipes as to amounts, you could start off with a 50/50 mixture of Pearl Ex and clear embossing powder and then follow the directions for your embossing powder as usual. The binders in the embossing powder allow the pearl ex to adhere to your embossing ink when heated. You can also likely find some good video tutorials on how to do this on YouTube or Google Search. Keep notes on the amounts and color combinations you create in case you would like to re-create those results again in the future. Happy Creating!

Ok that is amazing I need to go buy a big jar of clear power up anyway so that I can start getting these from you thank you so much! That's cool color so I want to create different stuff as soon as I find my emboss tools lol so they are one of the few things I have not unpacked amazing that I'm still unpacking. Very upsetting that I can't find things to wish me luck. Keep up your amazing auctions!

I know what you mean about unpacking...we have been in our current house for 2 years now and I am still "discovering" things on occasion. I love re-discovering my art supplies though...stamps I had forgotten about or special papers I had tucked away...it's like Christmas!
