Description

The listing, D-Link wireless router has ended.

D-Link DIR-655 Xtreme N Gigabit Router. Router is used but works perfectly. We just needed an upgrade. Comes in original box with all the parts, instructions, and cd-rom with Manual and Set up wizard. If your looking for a router to use laptops, game consoles and cell phones (more than one each) then this router is not for you. Perfect for one game console and laptop and one phone. Anymore than that and this router can't handle it. That's why I upgraded. 4 iphones, 3 laptops, kindle fire, Nintendo ds and wii 2 xbox 360 and a playstation all at one time this router can not handle. I let everyone know this cause I don't want anyone to waste credits on something they can't use. Again nothing wrong with it works great I just needed a new one cause this couldn't handle all the wireless devices I have. I did ask for $5 shipping. It will cost more than that to ship but I will cover the rest.

If everyone would read, the Lister did change the S&H to free. But, why ***** over $5.00 for S&H when everyone knows it will cost more than that as the Lister stated and he also stated he would have to at the extra cots involved to send the router...Good Grief People.......read before you start to ***** about something..! Sorry Purplepixe, just people can be so assidnine.....no one wants to read the whole listing or comments before they speaketh. I am truly sorry, but not sorry telling people off that can act dumb..!

Thank you for reading the whole description. I guess if the majority of bidders want free shipping I can do that if it increases the bidding activity.

Do you think this will work for a blu-ray player ...
Aug 8th, 2014 at 11:21:31 PM PDT by

If the player has wi-fi capabilities I wouldn't see why not. It's a strong enough router to handle a blue ray player. We ran a wii and xbox off of it and my kids watched movies on the xbox with it.

D-Links are great routers. I've had mine for a few years. The only reason I am getting this one is I needed an upgrade. This router should work for what you're wanting to run off of it but I wouldn't add anything else. It also depends on the location of the router and the devices. My house is app 1700 sq ft and this router worked fine in the den and running the xbox from the bedroom. Mine house is one lvl though. I don't know how well it would do if it was a two story house with the router downstairs and devices upstairs. It you're going to run anything other than what you listed and if you have a big house then I would not recommend this router. You would need a stronger one and D-Link makes them. I have never had any issues with this router.

I have a belkin n but it could be the wifi from the phone or the roof of my mobile home causing it to interfere wit the router?
Aug 10th, 2014 at 12:23:55 PM PDT by

I haven't had any problem with interference with my d-link. Everything ran fine for me until we added to much to it. This router in an n router also.
