Dose it really protect the phone? I've never heard of the brand but it's really cute. And will the little crack affect anything? Will it last awhile?

I've had it on my phone since December and I drop it quite often. Phone is fine , I just decided to get a new case. I think it cracked when I took it off my phone. It fits very snugly.
