Questions & Comments
To figure out what year she is from you have to look at what color the signature is on her butt. I can tell you right off without a doubt she is not from 1983, in 1983 they only made kids with yarn hair and the face with two bottom teeth did not come out until like late 1985 or 1986. Her signature is probably red = 1986 Aqua/ bluish green= 1987 Purple/ Lavender= 1988 Pink/ Rose = 1989
I was hoping you would say it was short hair, because that is what I am looking for and yes I can tell her hair wild I have one like her but with long hair and her hair is wild as well and has been since probably 1989 after my sister combed her hair. So what year is she from I know they started making these one cornsilk that is in 1986. My mine is from 1988 I believe, but got her either new years eve 1988 or a little after the for of the year 1989.
Also I thought for the longest time that the wild hair was contributed to being African american, because my friends had a white cornsilk kids and their hair was not that bad like my kid's hair
it says on back of her head 1983 and yes corn silk hair.. .. i love theses dolls still but like alot of ppl.here i have to much stuff piling up, so i just have to thin out my house lol
I do not think it is a bad thing, I think it depends on the collectors and what they are looking for some people prefer a certain head mold ( there were several) or hair color/ eye color combo or hair style or even outfit, some like to collect certain years or have one from every year possible and some do not care they just like cabbies. I do not consider myself a collector, I just love them all. I had several when I was younger as I was a child of the 80's. I am not an expert but I do know some things. Most of the cabbies I held on to have this head mold, so that is basically why I asked what year.
F&W i'm one who just loves Cabbage Patch Dolls. Do you have any Baby ones? I am looking for those especially and so far have seen none. Maybe some one you know has some? Thanks.
