The listing, 1965 Topps #125 JUAN PIZARRO (White Sox) 2x All Star has ended.
This is a 1965 Topps card for pitcher JUAN PIZARRO of the Chicago White Sox,
Well travelled, Pizarro pitched in 8 cities during an 18 year career, but he obviously had 'the stuff" to stay in the bigs for 18 seasons. His best years came during his 6 seasons with the White Sox (1961-1966). During his All Star seasons in 1963 and 1964, he went 35-17 with a 2.48 ERA and 325 strikeouts. Before that, he led MLB in strikeouts per 9 innings in 1961 and 1962. A World Series champion as a rookie with Hank Aaron's Milwaukee Braves in 1957, Pizarro would eventually win 131 games in his career.
Card has some minor vintage wear, but is not beaten up. Check out the pictures.
