The listing, Guitar one DVD December 2006 Petrucci/Gilbert has ended.

Thanks for stopping by!

This auction is for the interactive and instructional DVD which accompanied the December 2006 issue of Guitar one magazine (a.k.a. G1). This auction is for JUST THE DVD and there is no copy of the print magazine itself.

I just checked out the DVD and it's pretty sweet! The menu is cool as it opens and once you arrive your controls are a footpedal setup. With the FEATURES pedal, you can access the Paul Gilbert video lesson (covering several parts/licks) and the John Petrucci video lesson which delves into the "Under A Glass Moon" guitar solo.

If you stomp on the LESSONS pedal, excellent mini lessons occur:
Soloing Strategies (audio and video)
Rhythm Methods (audio and video)
Acoustic Cafe (audio and video)
Guitar Archives (audio and video)
Basic Training (audio and video)
Return Of the Shred (audio and video)
Last Licks (audio and video)

At the GEAR pedal, there are video reviews of products by 8 different companies, such as Gretsch, Ernie Ball, Electro-Harmonix, as well as MUFF.

In the SONGS pedal is only a single song, Mike Stern's "Blue Runaway", which is good. He's an amazing player, so...

Next is the BOSS tuner in the upper right, which if selected will play your note for you repeatedly (EADGB or E!) so you can tune to it for lessons or just playing. Pretty cool!

And FINALLY, there is also a handful of G1 EXTRAS, the best of which is a video guitar lesson with Black Label Society's Nick Catanese. Yes, he'll play it slow and then also play it fast. :)

Sorry there is no magazine for accompaniment, but this DVD's so full of rock guitar that you won't even MISS the print!

Thanks for looking and good LUCK!

I just mean that like a standard DVD menu, the things you click on to go between different sections looks like a box that a guitarist would have onstage, with various effects in it, so you click on what look like BOSS stomp boxes to get around the main menu. Sorry if I confused things! I hope that this clarification helps.
