Up for auction is this marvelous silver ring size 7.5, stamped 925. The four princess cut amethysts are fantastic. Two delicate rectangular cut white fire opals form stripes between the main stones. Opal is the birthstone of October and amethyst is that of February.

These stones are laboratory created, but their properties, chemical, optical and physical, are identical to that of naturally occurring stones. Man made gems are much hardier than their naturally occurring cousins, not so subject to temperature change, drying out, cracking or grazing.
