What in the f is that guy talking about he doesn't seem to know sh*t about coins at all he's obviously looking at the melt value which why would you melt down a coin like this it's beautiful history and 2-3 million dollars for it I want whatever he's smoking maybe at a super rich mega billionaire auction that couldn't live without that coin which would never happen I mean dude get a darn book there's only like three of them that'll give you the approximate value and if v coins are worth so much money like he says then I've got about 26 million dollars in v nickels this guy is all over the place trying to tell people what they're stuffs worth and making stupid offers abc news come on probably a fluke and heard it wrong I think everyone on listia is tired of hearing his bs it doesn't matter what he thinks it's worth it's what whomever is selling it thinks or knows it's worth give up with your nonsense man for real keep your ridiculous imagination to yourself I've never seen proof that a v nickel is worth 2 million an I research all the time and have many dealers that are friends get a clue sorry to put this on your page but this guy is not on the same planet as the rest of us and it's annoying trying to read real questions and comments just to read over and over how he knows everything about everything's value again sorry to vent like that but he's got delusions of granger and stupid offers you think I it was worth 2 million it would be let go for 2000 credits if it was I'm sure it would be at auction making this seller a rich man

Numismatic News has vf at 19.50 . I will start the bid at 15,000. Not a dealer, just a collector and not trying to be insulting but just making a offer. Would be happy if you would want to except.

Wow, this makes me feel smart. Hey Jay, I'll give you 2000 credits for it too. ROFL. I would say this is VF-30, may have a little wear so I would say somewhere in the $20 range. I dont collect these anymore or I might bid. I have a whole book of these I would gladly sell for 2 mill. Even an 1886. Good luck with this auction.

I am telling you, "You need to do more research."
You always ask so far less than a coins value.

I could go with junk v nickels being worth 80 cents.

My dear friend this is not junk.
Not even close.

You think this is a G 4 = good coin out of a numismatic grading scale of 70.
Which tells me you have no clue.

This is between a XF 40 - 45.
This is no common grade v nickel.

I actually priced under sheets for dealer to dealer because of a small scratch.

This coin is worth closer to $25 to 35 in this condition.

But you don't realize that.
I don't even know if you actually look at who you are talking to
If you did. You would remember the several other times we've talked.

I don't mind helping out, but I shouldn't have to keep telling you the same things.

I know.
But there is no reason for you to keep moping around trying to make offers that are uneducated.
This coin is worth far more than 83 cents.

US coin grading standards. This is going to be real generic and there are more in depth guidelines.
1 = poor - typically still identify coin and date
2 = fair - still awful and not very appealing
3 = AG - about good - typically rim runs into letters on front and back.
4 to 7 = good - typically full rim on front but rim can run into letters on back
8 to 11= vg - very good - typically full rims front and back.
12 to 19 = F - fine - typically read liberty on the front of the coin.
20 to 39 = VF - very fine - typically bold liberty and more details in hair and other lines on coin
40 to 49 - xf - extra fine - sharp details little wear.
50 to 59 - au - about uncirculated - wear only in high spots and many coins still have some luster.
60 to 69- ms - unc = uncirculated - no wear. May have contact marks.
70 - perfect. No wear . No contact marks.

I think you need to buy a ANA grading standard book.
Cost about 10 to 15 dollars.
They are great for beginners to learn and grade.

i look it up on silver value web site an they got it on thair its worth .83 sents

Hmmmmmm
You need a better website.
Let's see. You think this is a 4. A 4 in coin grading is a G = good.
That would be a huge under grade. G coins would not have full liberty on the head.
You say it's worth .83 cents but willing to pay 6000 credits which you say is over $10.
Fishy!!!!
