Listed for your bidding consideration is this $1 Gaming Chip from the Famous Greenbrier Hotel & Casino (also known as The Bunker) in White Sulphur Springs , West Virginia.

The Greenbrier is a Forbes four-star and AAA Five Diamond Award winning luxury resort located just outside the town of White Sulphur Springs in Greenbrier County, West Virginia,

This chip is in Very Good condtion and is White in Color. It has four light yellow inserts.

The chip is a Hat and Cane mold and the center inlay depicts the Classic Greenbrier Spring House, site of the original springs. It also has the Greenbrier Logo and the denomination. It has a small seal stating Lottery "Table Games" which we have not seen on other Casino chips and is evidently unique to West Virginia Casino chips. The design is the same on both sides, with both sides being shown in the photo's.

The chip weighs 9.2 grams and will easily stand on its edge.

This chip is extremely hard to get. Only resort guests at the Greenbrier are allowed to enter the casino. No outsiders allowed. Nicely dressed bouncers check ids at the entrance. Every person, every time.

In the late 1950s, the U.S. government approached The Greenbrier for assistance in creating a secret emergency relocation center to house Congress in the aftermath of a nuclear holocaust. The classified, underground facility, named "Project Greek Island", was built at the same time as the West Virginia Wing, an above-ground addition to the hotel, from 1959 to 1962.

The bunker's existence was not acknowledged until 1992 when the government decommissioned the bunker.
