What a legacy the Alou family left! Moises is the son of Felipe Alou of the famous Alou brothers of the 1960s and 1970s (Felipe, Matty, and Jesus) who combined for over 5000 MLB hits. Moises was no exception, collecting over 2134 hits, 332 home runs, and 1287 RBI in a 17 year career. he made 6 All Star teams, won 2 Silver Sluggers, and twice finished in the top 3 of MVP voting. he hit 20 or more home runs 9 times and more than 30 3 times, all the while maintaining an impressive .303 career average, including .355 in 2000.
