This one has the car cord AND the patch cord to attach to the computer-both will charge the GPS. My experience has been that a full charge will power the unit for a week,

lol-yup-Garmin will provide free updates as long as the nuvi 1350 is supported-you'll need to download the app to your computer, and use the cord provided to update.
