This auction is for two coins. They are a 2009 P and a 2009 D Lincoln Presidential Cent. The 2009 P Presidential cent is the rare one out of the 8 coins issued to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Abraham Lincoln.

The first was the P & D Log Cabin to celebrate the birth place of Lincoln, the second was the P & D Formative Years showing Lincoln as a young man working on the railroad (also known as log-splitter), the third was the P & D Professional Life which celebrates his career as a lawyer and his serving in the Illinois state legislature and the forth is the P & D Presidency. Each coin was only minted for 3 months in 2009. This mint year was very unique in that the reverse of the penny changed 4 times. In 2010 the reverse became the shield that is currently on all pennies issued from that time forward.

The run at the Philadelphia Mint was very low mintage resulting in the Philadelphia Presidency being in high demand.

These coins were taken from an original roll of uncirculated coins and were only handled with gloves on. The coins in the photos are the coins the winner will receive and will be sent by USPS first class mail.
