Overrun Countries
Austria flag
The Overrun Countries issue honored the countries occupied by the Axis powers during World War II. Furthermore, issuance of this series of stamps implied the free world's determination to liberate these countries. For the first time since 1893, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing contracted with a private firm so the stamps could be PRINTED IN COLORS. The American Bank Note Company was the contractor. Frames of all of the stamps of this set are produced in a slate-violet color. The center of each stamp was printed by a different production method in the colors of the flags. Very little production information on this set ever was made public note : all stamps shipped asap and/or with in 7 day of close of auction.photo of stamp is the actual stamp . will give all information as i know about them . and thanks for looking at my action all start at 499 some worth much much more..

mint stamp gum
: unused - a stamp that is not cancelled (used) , yet has had all the original gum removed. on early u.s. issues this is the condition that the majority of mint stamps exist in , as early collectors often soaked the gum off their stamps to avoid the possibility of gum drying and splitting
original gum (og) - a stamp that still retains the adhesive APPLIED when the stamp was made, yet has been hinged or has had some of gum removed.
never hinged (nh) - a stamp that is in " post office " condition with full gum that has never been hinged .
