Organic Non-GMO Dragon Carrot
Vibrant purple skin reveals a bright orange interior with a unique yellow core. Dragon is a Danvers-type carrot with wide shoulders and a tapered tip. Roots are full-sized at 7-8” long and very hardy. Dragon has been improved from a USDA specimen by master breeder John Navazio and has equivalent lycopene content to tomatoes.

Auction is for 50 seeds packaged by Seed Savers Exchange for the 2014 growing season. Germination rate is 98%. Seeds are organic, heirloom and non-GMO.

Can they take a light frost?

Carrots in general are very frost tolerant -- they are great veggies for fall.

That is what I was thinking and we do not get a killing frost until the middle of Nov so there is still time to plant. Besides I would just need to cover them at night.
