The listing, USED Apple iPod classic 80 GB 6th Generation (Black) has ended.
Auctioning up a USED Apple iPod Classic 80 GB 6th Generation that is black. Here is a brief description of the generation style according to support.apple.com:
"The iPod classic is a hard drive-based iPod (80 GB or 160 GB) featuring a large, widescreen color display, a Click Wheel, and the capability of displaying photos and videos. Like other models, it uses USB for syncing. The iPod classic is available in silver and black, and has an anodized aluminum and polished stainless steel enclosure.
You can distinguish the iPod classic from the iPod (5th generation) by the last three digits of the serial number. The iPod classic serial number's last three digits will be one of the following: Y5N, YMU, YMV, and YMX."
I did confirm that the serial number for this iPod ends in YMV. This particular iPod has been discontinued by the manufacturer. According to Apple it was originally released between 2007-2009 so I have had it for a minimum of five years, but most likely longer.
As you can see from the pictures it does have quite a bit of wear, lots of scratches on the front, back and screen. It is functional though as you can see I am currently charging it now! It has already been restored to factory settings.
This iPod used to go with me EVERYWHERE. I loved it dearly. I just don't need it anymore since I've transitioned to storing and listening to my music on my phone. The battery life is definitely not what it once was. If you don't constantly skip songs it will last between 1-2 hours, but if you're constantly skipping songs or having the back light on, the battery will run out and last under an hour.
I'm including two wires for the iPod. One is a wall charger that I took photos of and the other is a USB charger that will go directly into your computer (not shown as I'm using it now).
The back does have a name engraved on it as well.
Please ask questions if you have any!!
