RAGGEDY ANN-(THE ACTUAL COVER IS MORE VIVID)-This sheet music of 1923 is in great shape with crisp edges but I took the photo atop some other very old somewhat very used condition stuff intending to edit the size--but found I could not--look close at the actual cover on auction--it is real nice

When stars Fred and Dorothy Stone loped onstage as Raggedy Ann and Andy in the 1923 Broadway musical "Stepping Stones," Johnny Gruelle's little rag dolls were an instant hit. By 1924, "Stepping Stones" was playing to capacity crowds across the U.S., and Raggedy Ann and Andy had endeared themselves to an avid, theater-going audience. The production's catchy songs, written by Anne Caldwell and Jerome Kern, were published as sheet music and even inspired a fashionable foxtrot-style dance known as "the Raggedy Ann." All this activity gave an added boost to already-brisk sales of Johhny Gruelle's books and dolls. This sheet music cover is AMAZING!! OBSCURE!!!
