1) Brand new - unused - I only powered it up to make sure that it is working - MP4 Music/Video/Picture/Recording/eBook/USB drive player

2) 2GB. Music/photo/etc... can be uploaded by just plugging the unit into your USB computer slot. USB is also used for charging.

3) Contents: MP4 Player, CD software, Ear buds, USB charging cable, instruction manual

Should be platform independent for modern computers (Mac, Win 7, VIsta, XP). The player shows up as a USB Flash drive. You can then transfer music with drag and drop. Just to reiterate my original comment, I have only plugged this in to make sure that it powers up. It is brand new. I really didn't get a chance to play with it on various systems. I know that it works on my Macbook Pro.
