Power levels for phone are important because if you run a phone powering it on a charger that has a higher Amperage on it than the original phone charger has (unless difference between original and new charger is less than 100mA) higher amp chargers force phone to charge faster which can fry the phone battery because it can't force charger to charge at factory amperage it has to take that charge and it will eventually fry the battery or the phone or both.. . Like some phone a come with 1A chargers.. . You can use a charger that is between 900mA and 1.2A. .. if lower it won't charge because it can't keep the phone with enough power to the battery to be able to raise it higher which can fry charger phone and battery.. . Same thing if you use other people chargers all the time ....
