"POSSUM"
aprox 4.5" tall x 10" long
this possum is very fun because his head and his tail are suspended and when given a gentle push they move (similar to a bobbing head). so it mimics a real live animal.
it was also hand painted very lovely.
i am giving it up because my son just wants to mess with it. he actually thought it was a ball and tried throwing it. i caught it but since this pieces of art are very delicate it actually cracked. so there is actually a hairline crack from the tail hole to the sticker on his belly. but it is on one side and bottom only so no biggie. it is still a one of a kind very lovely conversation piece that i am giving up to someone who can appreciate it.
The Artist name is RAUL RODRIQUEZ VAZQUEZ, he had work with alebrijes for a long time. His small factory is located in TEMALACATZINGO, GUERRERO, Mexico.
ABSOLUTELY LOVELY...!!!.
