The listing, vintage razor and Vics VapoRub has ended.

My father passed away recently so now it's time to go through some of his things. This razor mechanism is unlike what we use today but seems like such a wonderful statement piece for a collector. It even comes with blades! The Vicks Vapo Rub jar still smells like what we still use now however the labeling and dating at the bottom signify that it's from 1956!? (not sure on that however - before expiration dates on medicines for sure).

1. Yes, the jar is glass.
2. The contents have been in the jar so long & the speed at which things ship these days, everything should arrive as shown.

My condolences. I've been searching for a double edge razor on Listia, as they leave a better environmental footprint than today's disposables.

I'm sorry for your loss. No one can prepare for the loss of a parent, no matter how much one tries. However, it's an unfortunate part of growing up :-( (I know I'm a complete stranger, but I'm one of those sympathetic strangers :-) )
In regards to the listing, I have 2 questions:
1.Is this wonderful specimen of Vick's, in fact glass?
2.Would it still contain the original product, as depicted, once shipped?
See, I collect vintage bottles and jars and my 1940's Vick's would like a friend. The razor would make a great conversation piece :-D
