The listing, Antique Tapestry has ended.

antique tapestry from the early to mid 1800's. made in france. depicting young ladies sitting and chatting in a victorian garden type of setting. size; four feet eight inches by nineteen inches. its in really good condition except for a stain in the upper left hand corner. i have never cleaned these for fear of doing damage to it.

I see you have an auction for a doll so I think you answered the question on that auction...they were asking about authenticity on the tapestry...easy to get confused I know..lol

yeah, i was answering questions about the doll and didn't notice that the item in question had switched to the tapestry. sorry about that! any way, back to the subject at hand. i've had the tapestries checked out by two different antique dealers, one local, one in sacramento calif. the one in sac. gave me the approxamation on the tapestries. as far as personal history goes, theres not much to say because i got these from a friend a little over 15 years ago and he got them when he had been hired to empty an old, falling down barn and disspose of, or keep everything that was in it. this is the only one of the tapestries that has any sort of markings on it and that simply says " made in france " on the back of it. hope this helps. thanks
