Yes it is like a bean sprout,there is no image view on this ,so you dont know if the pic is good till you download,but it does take pretty good pics,i used to own one!!actually i found it better than the bean sprout(which i also own)

You can take pics anywhere but to see them you must upload them to your pc, there is no view screen on the camera
