No, they are not sterling silver, they are hypoallergenic alloy though and the GIN is posted if you want to get them for that. I have a pair (diff design) that I have been wearing for almost 6 months in tops of my ears without any fading of the silver or allergic reaction and my ears are very sensitive. :-)
