This is an old TBTA Metropolitan Transit Authority (When the two unions were associated in New York City) Bridge and Tunnel token. In those days the toll was .75 cents, today the crooks charge $7.50 and are planning to raise it again soon! THIS IS WITHIN TWO POINTS IN THE SAME CITY!! I call them crooks because when they built the bridges and tunnels they promised the people of New York City that after everything was paid for the maintenence would come from taxes and NOT TOLLS.
Excuse me, I am P*SSED OFF!
So for about 65 years now they have been blatently robbing people who dare to go from one borough to another within the same city, sometimes a matter of only 2 or 3 miles! To escape this mugging you have to go out of the way as much as 15 miles...so.....you guessed it, sometimes you just cant do it!
This is made of copper. The two sides are identical and at a coin show they go for as much as $12.00 each!
