Description: When 21 year old dance champion, Scott Hastings, performs his own steps during a Dance Federation competition, retribution is swift. Liz, his dance, partner drops him and hopes of winning the Pan Pacific Grand Prix are dashed. Into Scott's life steps Fran, ugly duckling of the dance studio, run by Scott's Parents. Through Fran and the Spanish world of her parents, Scott is introduced to the excitement of Latin dances. On the big night, the two mesmerize the audience, but not the Federation judges. The music is stopped. But, when the crowd reacts and starts clapping in unison, Scott and Fan move to a rhythem all their own in a free-form dand of celebration.
