The listing, Huge Faceted Sapphire 18x13mm has ended.

This is a huge faceted blue sapphire that is oval shaped. It measures 18 millimeters by 13 millimeters. It does have a crack, which I don't think goes all the way through and it is a little rough around the edges. Still a nice gem and might be better with some work.

is the crack on both sides and do you know what caused the crack? can you add pics of back, closer to the crack and side view? ty

No, the crack is not on both sides. I bought it at an estate sale, so I don't know how it got cracked, it is very slight. I added a picture of the back of the stone.
