It works, It does not come with a charger-so you will have to get one. Only used one time-I realized hands free was not for me lol.

Will this work for a cell phone and will a usb for a mp3 work to charge it.

This is made for a cell phone. I am not sure if a usb for a mp3 will work to charge it. The port is pretty small and you might just have to purchase a charger for it on ebay or amazon.
