for jwaldo, this is a shakespeare ALPHA reel. It holds about 100 yard of 10 pound test line, 125 yards of 6 pound test. It's a good reel for pan fishing or the beginning angler for small bass. I use this same reel for blue gill and crappie here in my pond. rfletch I'm sorry if I have intruded on your listing by answering this question. F, W and B

there should be some numbers on the reel looks like 8mm/120m or whatever the first number is the diameter or pound test of the line, and the second number is how many yards or meters it holds

I blew the picture up and this is a 2100 series, it may be a saltwater reel. If that is the case it will hold up to 395 yards of line
