Flying Dragon or Trifoliate Orange Poncirus trifoliata. ~Rare~
~ ~actual pictures of the mother tree, fruit and seedlings from last year that I planted myself.
Auction is for one 6-8" seedling
They like direct sunlight, and watering about once a month, depending on your zone/weather.
The trees are expensive sold individually.. The fruits are LOADED with seeds.
Introduced to the U.S. from Japan in 1915.
The contorted branches are mind boggling.
The branches and stem are thorny. Makes a great natural border for the yard.
The blossoms in the spring do have a very nice scent as most citrus. This is excellent for bonsai as it is a slow grower.
This plant does overwinter outside. It usually lose its leaves if we have a killing frost, but comes back to blossom again in the summer. Zones 6-10.
Requires full sun and a well draining soil.
The fruit can be used for flavoring and the skin can be candied.
THANKS FOR LOOKING!!
