What jewelers did was MIX ACTUAL GOLD IN..... and in the case of "Gold Filled" they would usually use from 2% to 5% (Unless you see a percentage engraved in the item it is then usually 5%) and blend that in with various other metals so the coloring would NEVER fade or turn your finger colors. this was and is also a good thing for people who are allergic as the ring then begins to take on the actual attributes of Gold and may be worn by almost anyone without discomfort due to metallurgical properties affecting the skin, so convienent and good looking too!

There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that can tell you or anyone by sight that this item is not SOLID GOLD! The ring will last FOREVER like that and is the reason this manufacturing process was established!

This item is in excellent condition, no 'Dings' or dents!

As you can see this beautiful item is marked PROPERLY with the engraved "Gold Filled" as well as the manufacturers marking and the content of gold this particular item is made with, you can bank on the fact that this item indeed HAS the 5% gold entrenched in it during the manufacturing process!
The item can use a polishing at your local jewelers, remember it is pre-owned and as such has need of a buffing to make it new-ish again.
