.5 amps can fry any component. It is rare, but can happen. I see this sellers feedback and when I get credits from a dispute I'm going to bit on this card. You can't get a better rating then 100%. I'm suprised that no one had asked you if you rubbed your feet on the carpet for 20 minutes before removing this AGP card. LOL. How to remove a video card. 1) first fill the tub with water. LOL.. I'm sorry, just had to throw that in. I'm building a system for my daughter in law. She's not much into game, but loves the Simms, this card is more than enough for that game. I'll be bidding in 48 hours. Late.
Brian4 You need to go to school there is the possibility that u can static discharge and fried a component like this! When u have static charge in your body and you touch metal u can see a sparkle and feel the charge and for u to be able to see a sparkle it must be over 30,000 volts and a component like this can get fried with just a couple of thousends. So research a lil bit before u open your mouth :)
Well I could use and AMD Socket 939 cpu, 1 or 2GB of PC3200, ( I sold all the pc3200 I had about a month ago, that was before my daughter in law wanted a pink PC. ) 2 Pink SATA cables, 1 purple 80mm fan, 1 purple 120MM fan, 1 dual Purple ata ribbon that's just for starters. LOL
can you see the anti-static strap the is attachet to my wrist? Oh I am sorry did not take a photo of that. Also if you think i am scamming people as some of the people on here who have won someof my stuff what they think. Who knows maybe the 100% postive feedback is wrong. The one time something did not work i made it right also.
99% of the time you do NOT static discharge onto a device, as long as you touch the metal Mounting bracket prior to touching any BARE contact point. EG. the AGP connector. This is a great card. I have one.
