This vintage topper is in the hour glass design, it is very old but in excellent condition, has many older materials that are not produced any longer, like flour sack material, very unusual and interesting. A topper is a one side of a quilt, quilters usually do one side as squares or some design and the back side is a single piece usu the same material, like some of the quilts you see in the store that has solid or print material on one side and squares on the other side. When you get a topper, one side is done for you and the back side is all you have to do, it can be a solid piece or blocks or whatever you want. ok, hope that clears it up, any more q's let me know, thx for asking. mary
