My hair was too damaged to go to the salon and have them bleach my hair. Even using john Frieda's lightener (which I know isn't for dark hair but many still saw results). So then I found out about doing it this way. It still bleaches your hair with a noticeable difference. It's a lot less damaging than bleach. Some people have to get their hair chopped off because of bleach damage.
