Description

The listing, Ancient Biblical Coin - Widow's Mite (Lepton) - 103 - 76BC 1 of 3 has ended.

These are authentic Judean coins minted between 103-76BC and circulated in Judea durind the time of Christ 50BC - 50AD.

The Widows Mite

Mark 12:41-44
And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.
And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.
And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:
For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

Luke 21:1-4
And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.
And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.
And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all:
For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.

Since Listia would rather have scammers overrunning the site than have me use the comment section for the history of my auctions, there will be no more history on any of my listings.

I will block anyone who asks "how much can I sell it for", or "do you have a certificate of authenticity"
I'm not listing these coins for the greedy to make a quick buck; these are for those who sincerely want a piece of ancient Christian history. A COA would cost me $65 from the Numismatic Guaranty corporation, so I used the Numismatic Beaureau to have them slabbed and catalogued.

To those of you genuine Listian's, thank you and happy bidding.

But at 32 degrees, heck, damm, you can keep the Bud right by the bed. That sounds good, think I'll grab one from the fridge. I'm bouncing tonight. To many ideas. Shite, I don't want YOUR power bill

Have never seen that movie. I do Love old movies and all of Errol Flynns pirate adventures. Guess I'm thinking of another happy feet song:)

The movie was given to me yesterday under the guise that I act just like Howard Hughes and his OCD/Bipolar antics, and I agree. It's a newer movie..2003 I think, starring Leonardo Dicaprio, but it's situated in the 1930's with Eroll Flynn as an acquaintance of Hughes'.

Does the dancing guy with big teeth make you laugh during the Errol Flynn fight scene in The Aviator? That's where I heard that song..."Happy Feet", lol.
